January 6, 20197 yr Could anyone give me more information on the following below please? In relation to engine effects. exponential decay and amplitude Keith Sandford.
January 6, 20197 yr Commercial Member Exponential Decay signifies that the effects will become less visible when the engine is at a higher RPM. This has a noticeable effect on propeller planes. Amplitude dictates the amplitude of the movement. Keven Menard Technical Director, //42.
January 6, 20197 yr Author Ah got it. Thanks. I’m trying to get the opposite with my rotary aircraft. The vibration gets more pronounced with increased torque (RPM in the sim as collective is linked to throttle) Do you have any presets for rotary aircraft at all? January 6, 20197 yr Commercial Member Aircraft labeled as "Helicopter" have a custom dynamic for the long blades... You'll see the difference right away. The vibrations will increase as the blades spin faster. Keven Menard Technical Director, //42.
January 7, 20197 yr Author Ah. Ok. I’m flying the Nemeth Designs CH-47. Not sure if it’s labelled as helicopter or not. On the default settings the engines certainly do not behave as one. Any ideas? Keith Sandford.
January 7, 20197 yr Author Funny but the vibrations start and then slow to a stop then start up slow to fast over a period of approx 10 seconds. Keith Sandford.
January 16, 20197 yr Commercial Member I don't have the Nemeth Designs CH-47... Can you post a video of the effect? Keven Menard Technical Director, //42.
