Parking breaks

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am having a problem whenever i tap my toe brakes on my CH rudder pedals or press PTT on my saitek. Everytime i step on the brakes or press the ptt it disengages the parking brake. i had the same problem on my dash 8 and found a fix for it. I tried the same entry (parking_brake_linked_to_toe_brakes = 0) on  my pmdg 777 aircraft.cfg but it didnt work.

i hope someone can help me.

Thanks,

Francis

On the actual airplane, this is how you would release the parking brakes, so I'm not really sure what the issue is since it's doing what it's designed to do.

Agreed. The PTT switch is a different story, however.

I suspect your PTT switch is assigned to two different functions. Check your assignments in the sim and/or FSUIPC. You'll probably find the switch has been inadvertently assigned to the brakes (either the brakes themselves, or the brakes keypress).

Adjust the null zone on your toe brakes.
