August 13, 200619 yr Ok I have made a few observations and there is something that troubles me about the AI aircraft.1. MSFT's AI aircraft are very highly detailed compared to that of Ultimate Traffics or any other third party AI traffic program.2. Based on this, most people would want to replace the aircraft with more frame rate friendly aircraft...that and UT provides for more aircraft types air variations.3. To get the baggage carts, food trucks, etc to come up to an AI plane the AI plane has to open its doors in order to trigger the event. My question is this.....how will the UT planes or any other third party planes be able to trigger the baggage carts, trucks, etc...if they do not have doors that open?? Or, will they have doors that open?
August 13, 200619 yr Moderator This was asked the other day and answered, but basically all 3rd party aircraft will have to be updated for FSX in order to provide the proper 'Attach Point targets' for the animated airways, baggage carts, etc. Fr. August 13, 200619 yr Along with what Bill said about the attachments I think the services can be triggered with engine stop and then 10 or 15 minutes previous to engine start we have already with FS9 Chris Miller
August 13, 200619 yr Rendering of our aircraft at a distance will be significantly improved in the final release.3rd party aircraft will need to be annotated with the correct exit/door information in the aircraft.cfg in order to work with the baggage loaders.
August 14, 200619 yr You can much better quality Ai aircraft without surrending your framerates. Search on avsim for aiaardvark or evolveai and you will find another league of Ai traffic.
August 14, 200619 yr Hi,Yep, you're right (of course!) - for user aircraft you don't need to change anything in the MDL itself - just in the aircraft.cfg file. I changed the exits section of my CV-340's file (the MDL doesn't even have cargo doors) by copying and pasting the CRJ exits section and then editing it. Those baggage vehicles just came right up to it and snuggled in:http://www.calclassic.com/Temp/fsx_340.jpgI can't get enough AI traffic going to find out how they would work, but I'll try that some more.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
