January 13, 20197 yr Hello all, Probably did something wrong , and now the upper "Active FLP" display looks like this -------/XXXXX where the default should be like this XXXXX/--------- Any idea how to get it back like it should be ??? Tnx in advance
January 13, 20197 yr Hi, I'm not sure to fully understand what this is about, but you might best find answers to this in the GNS Pilot's Guide installed to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Garmin\GNS Trainer\Manuals Otherwise a screenshot might help to?
January 14, 20197 yr Author ... ouch, have no idea how to attach image (-: Edited January 15, 20197 yr by N1125Y

January 16, 20197 yr Author ..you see the format : -----/KSNA ... KSNA suppose to be the origin AP not the destination .... so it should be like this KSNA/ ------ ..so how do I get it back to the default Tnx Edited January 16, 20197 yr by N1125Y
January 16, 20197 yr Thank you for the screenshot. I was afraid there was a graphical glitch displaying there. Well, I don't know if you did something wrong or if the Garmin is doing something wrong in itself: 1) What actions led to have 'KSNA' displaying in this page after the device boots (regardless if left or right)? 2) Do you mean that every time this page displays a departure and arrival airport, they are read right to left instead of left to right?
January 17, 20197 yr Author .. tnx for the prompt respond I have no idea what went wrong, it is , most likely, part of the learning curve of the G530 ... before it happened, the defualt display. showed the proper format where the current Airport is the origin (-:
January 18, 20197 yr Author For 1 is clicking on the FPL button For 2. affirmative every time is right to left
January 18, 20197 yr Puzzling! You really mean if you depart from KSNA and arrive to KSFO, it displays: KSFO / KSNA? Have you by any chance used 'Invert Flight Plan' in the FPL page menu?
January 18, 20197 yr Please review the RXP GNS User's Manual p16 "Device Embedded Memory". You may want to rename the device file (in turn making it a backup) and see how it goes once you start the GNS again, and it recreates a brand new one. NB: you'll loose any saved flight plan, settings, user waypoints saved in the device, but hopefully you'll get a working device in regard to this specific issue, if ever this is an issue and not just a setting somewhere in the device. January 19, 20197 yr Author I assumed you mean to delete those file sys_nand0! ! : default original file. sys_nanda, sys_nandb: GNS 5XX #1 and GNS 5XX #2 sys_nandc, sys_nandd: GNS 4XX #1 and GNS 4XX #2 Well I didn't see any sys_nand0 Anyway I moved the other 2 to the desktop and launched XP11 I checked in the folder and found only one file sys_nanda .... I checked the GPS and still right to left Dead End Reg. Yair
January 19, 20197 yr 11 hours ago, N1125Y said: I checked the GPS and still right to left I just want to make sure: you've deleted the sys_nanda file, therefore, depriving the GNS from any past-memories. Then you've launched the GNS which has recreated a new set of memories. Then I guess it didn't display anything on the FPL page yet at this state? If so, then, what sequence of actions/menus/functions/keys/knobs have you done to make KSNA appear? Furthermore, if you do actually program a flight plan with a DEP and ARR, what does it show?
