August 13, 200619 yr One thing I've never understood is why FS at noon with no clouds always has lighting like it's overcast out. Go and do a Google search for aerial pics and the difference is staggering. FS is just too clean and colorful. Real daytime lighting by the sun bleaches things out in a way. Sure I can mess with gamma, contrast and brightness through my display panel but then it bleaches everythoing out, including the cockpit. This darkness is what makes it look cartoony and computerish. Also, I've never understood the cockpit night lighting either..that stupid pink light stuff. Each gauge should have its own backlighting individually as the pic attached. Will they ever get it? I know, I know I can download 3rd party aircraft but they haven't improved the cockpit light nighting for like 10 years, lol.
August 13, 200619 yr I would also like to see some exposure effects on the environment, maybe dx10, who knows? Also, I've never understood the cockpit night lighting either..that stupid pink light stuffIf I remember correctly Mike said they have something in the pipeline regarding cockpit lighting. :) Bernard
August 13, 200619 yr Author I'm not understanding your post. First you say:>One thing I've never understood is why FS at noon with no>clouds always has lighting like it's overcast out. Then you say:>FS is just too clean and colorful. So which way is it to you? First you said it was too dull, then you said it is too clean and colorful. In my opinion, the demo is too bright all the time. It should be duller and more washed-out looking when it's overcast. It's not, at present time it is just as bright and colorful as on a clear day. I think this is a bug. Probably a known one, too. If it's feature, and not a bug, then, well, they're wrong. Gray and rainy should dullen everything. I know the tropics will have the bluer water, but still, some dulling in certain low-light conditions is normal.Rhett Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
