I've had this happen several times

I'm climbing through soup, solid white out

then when I get through that layer and on top I can look down and see no layer of soup and clear to the ground.

What happened to my layer of soup, shouldn't I be able to see that?

Had the very same thing also happen a number of times now..........

try this: HiTech told me on their forums that the visibility above has to be less than the visibility on the ground.

 

Make sure that is set correctly in your options/settings.

 

Since then I haven't been in a situation like that but it seems better for some funny reason.
