FSX Demo

Featured Replies

I haven't installed it yet.. I am kinda worried about it messing up FS9. Has anyone tried using the demo and then going back to use fs9 again? How many locations do you get with this demo? I have only seen TCNM and hope there are other areas available in the demo. I am kinda curious if KSNA or KSAN is available in this demo. Any info would be appreciated. Thank You,Kurt.

How would it mess up fs9? It's a completely different game, not an upgrade.Only St. Martin and a few surrounding islands are in the demo. You can't make anything show up outside the demo area.

Yeah, amazingly, FSX does not install to your FS9 directory.:7 :)

You can safely install the demo. I've run it had no problems running FS2004 afterwards.

It creates a "flight simulator X" folder in My Docs, so that doesn't confilict, and in your C:D&S user app data it creates FSX and FSX Demo folders, so no conflict again.Same thing in Vista, though the app data folders are on a different path than used in XP.scott s..
