January 25, 20197 yr Hi there, I am new to the whole FMC programming. I attempted a flight from OTHH to OMDB, I correctly flied the flighplan going by SimBrief (through projectFLY) - Took off from 16L and landed 30L. However, all the AI were landing on 12L. Now, the weather I had on Activesky was winds from 130 degrees at 06 knots. This making the AI correct. So, does simbrief use real world weather? If it does, how can I ensure I am using the correct approaches/runways in the future. Adam Moore
January 25, 20197 yr When creating a new flight you have the option to load a weather snapshot from your sim. Look under weather options.
January 26, 20197 yr No issues here.It is so-posed to calculate automatically, but can be overridden.Check the DEP/ARR weather nebojsa
January 26, 20197 yr Author Thanks for your responses. The snapshot feature seems to be doing the trick. Although not sure why it has to be historic and not live. Adam Moore
January 26, 20197 yr Simbrief will use the weather at the time of the request. Winds can change, so you have to adapt your flight plan as you go.
