I need some help on this problem regarding PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II and FS2Crew (Voice and Button) for FSX

December 2018 I purchased, installed and flown without problems FS2Crew v1.2 for Voice and Button control. A couple of weeks ago I received the notification that an upgrade is available. I downloaded v1.3 and installed. I received the SDK error. After researching on numerous forums I decided to uninstall FS2Crew 2017 (747).

I have ALWAYS make backups on DVD of all original files that I purchased.

I took my original purchased file and installed that. Entered my information and order number. Upon starting FSX I discovered that FS2Crew v.1.2 BUTTON only is available. Voice is not an option.

I uninstalled again and also uninstalled PMDG 747. Reinstalled PMDG 747 and FS2Crew v1.2 and still that same issue. I installed FS2Crew v1.3 and I get the same SDK error with ONLY button control.

It should be noted that I have still installed, tested today, running perfectly FS2Crew the PMDG 737, Aerosoft A320 WITH VOICE running. 

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Jeff,

Did you update the PMDG 747 using the PMDG Operations Center to ensure you have the latest version of the PMDG installed?

 

I just re-tested this and Voice and Button control work fine in FSX.  No problems.

I really think not having the latest PMDG updates from the PMDG Ops Center is your issue.

I completely uninstalled 747 v3 and deleted folders, again. I logged onto PMDG website and downloaded a fresh version. I did have an issue in the past that the Operations Center would not update, but after this fresh install it updated and the notifications was finally removed.

I installed the original v1.2 of FS2Crew that I had burned on DVD. I still have the problem with BUTTON only. I have confirmation that I bought Voice and Button.

This is frustrating that voice worked before I downloaded v 1.3 a couple weeks ago and now it doesn't even register that I have it, but only BUTTON.  As stated my FS2Crew for PMDG 737 and Aerosoft A320 work fine as I tested it again just now.

OK, I installed v1.3 with no SDK error now. That part is good.

But, the major part is only BUTTON available. No voice as I paid for which used to work before this whole update headache.

Hi Jeff,

Glad you made progress.

To change from Button to Voice, you need to open the SEC panel.

And change from Button to Voice.  It's in the CFG options I recall.

And ensure your speech recognizer is set to English US.
