Helicopter. Study level.

Featured Replies

Hi! Is there any study-level, (PMDG-level) helicopter compatible with P3D v4.4? Today I´m using Milviz UH-1 Redux. Before, in my FSX-period, I have "flying" the Dodosim 206.

Hi, I don't think any company has made a high-quality copter 😞 I think it due to the fact that P3D doesn't handle helicopter physics well, so any immersion would be instantly killed. I know X-plane has some companies which produce some very high-quality helicopters (study level-maybe?) as the physics are much better than P3D.

Check out X-Plane 11 and the Dreamfoil Bell 407.

Or the DCS Huey. You don’t need to use weapons with it if you don’t want too.

Or the Aerofly R22.

Nothing too realistic for P3D. I’ve been told by a helicopter pilot the dodosim was the best, it used an external custom flight model to bypass the ‘basic’ FSX model.
