'Something unexpected happened'

Recommended Posts

Hi Keven

I've just done a fresh Windows, P3D and Chaseplane install (via VFX Central).  When launching CP, I get a pop-up immediately saying 'It looks like something unexpected occured.  A logfile will be sent to Old Prop automatically the next time you launch Chaseplane'

Are you able to shed light on what the issue is?

(I have also just upgraded my motherboard and processor.)

Cheers

erich

I have made contact via Support as recommended in the other thread with the same issue.   It seems it is related to a motherboard change.

We are looking into it, try removing the content of your ChasePlane's Appdata directory

FYI, Build v1.0.31 is fighting with FSUICP5 again on controller assignment again.  I'll go check and see if Pete has an update as well.

Chaseplane fired up last night with no specific input from me.  However,  I did a registry and general cleanout using CCleaner - and it was after this that CP worked.

No error message.  Everything loaded as normal. The only thing I had an issue with was applying assignments to my Xbox controller for external observations.  CP kept prioritising my throttle unit as the preferred controller.  So I unplugged the throttle when applying assignments.

No further issues.

Hi,

I am having the same issues. I have send the Dev my problem and still waiting on them for an update. Hope they can rectify this quickly. I did the same as ErichB by reinstalling onto a fresh windows update and encountered this problem.

The updated versions of CP eliminate the new/upgraded PC activation issue, I believe.
