July 15, 200619 yr The ground/autogen kinda reminds me of Georender! I just hope my expectations are not becoming too great - will try to keep my expectations low to avoid the possibility of big dissappointment but I like much of what I see so far!(Apologies for the off-topic post)P.

July 16, 200619 yr There are also a couple of teenagers in the bushes, three down and two from the left. making out. What details!!HahahahaAndy bhttp://www.jdtllc.com/images/rcv4bannerbeta.jpg Andy Brockbank
July 16, 200619 yr Looks a bit odd with the bloom effect occuring in the wing shadow, but still cool none-the-less.Cheers,Todd
July 16, 200619 yr >Yea it cannot be bloom cause the shadows mean the sun is in>the other direction! That was exactly the reason I asked the original question! I was a bit confused by the source of the shadows and then the bloom. However, and regardless, I am REALLY looking foward to this new version. I can safely say that if the aircraft fly half-way decent that this will be a fun FS straight out of the box. What's even better is the fact that we know great 3rd party addons will be right on the ball at or just after the release!
July 16, 200619 yr You'll have to excuse me. The BS in here is only going to get thicker the closer to release we become. Happens all the time. Of all the game series' I've played and followed over the years, the Flight Sim playerbase is the most anal retentive, generally speaking. Some of the complaints can be funny, particularly the ones declaring the game garbage because the third pixel from the left at X/Y lat/long. is too much of a mauvey shade of pinky russet than the real life counterpart. My apologies to anyone inconvenienced by my kneejerk reaction. Cynicism in an insane world can be both a blessing and a curse. "No matter how eloquent you are or how solidly and firm you've built your case, you will never win in an argument with an idiot, for he is too stupid to recognize his own defeat." ~Anonymous.
July 16, 200619 yr The shadowing is totally consistent with the bloom effect. The sun is somewhere off the left edge of the screenshot, which would be causing the wing parts to shadow onto the body of the aircraft. The player camera is situated exactly at the angle of incidence of the sunlight bouncing off of the metal, so the sun is essentially reflecting right into the player's "eye".Rest assured, there is nothing wrong with this screenshot.
