Take a look at this: http://www.avsim.com/pages/robertw/FSX/064.jpgNow, the sun appears to be shing either thru the tail of the airplane (a bug), OR is it shining thru the Fabric of the airplane? Can anyone say which way?thanks,

None.. that's the tail light.

How about sun glare on the camera len's that is taking the shot from another aircraft, while in close formation. L.Adamson

Its a feature (bloom) and not a bug.

I've seen a similar effect from a lens glare taking a picture of aircraft in the real world.

It is the bloom effect which is a new feature in fsx. Another nice thing in this shot is the self shadowing on the aircraft. The sun seams to be somewhere low in front of the cub in this shot.cheers, :-beerchugC.G.

Holy jeez... is this a complaint? I mean... seriously?

Bloom...I was wondering that too, but just didnt mention it. I didnt think it was a bug, but I noticed items moving thru the terminal building in the new vid realeased on Thursday and just wanted to confirm. Goodness, I hope it wouldnt be the tail light (as someone jokingly pointed out (Ihope)).

I'm pretty sure it is the bloom effect, but it's used as a reflection of the sun off of the tail surface.

Even if it was a bug (which it doesn't appear to be), the quality of the rest of the image is super!Ray Keattch

The immediate impression I got when I saw the screenshot was that it is simply bloom from the sun reflecting off of the metal, and it looks quite good. This is an optical effect you can see all the time in real life (but seriously, if you haven't seen it before it might be a good time to take a break from the computer :().And airplanes aren't made of translucent fabric so that theory can be immediately ruled out.

Yeah it definately looks like sun glint and as mentionion the shadows indicate that the sun is to the left, rather low in the sky straight off the left wing.

>Holy jeez... is this a complaint? I mean... seriously?>>Jeez... It was just a simple question. Next time take your time reading the text.

Don't know... but can you spot the dog chasing the sheep in farmland below? Amazing!

>Don't know... but can you spot the dog chasing the sheep in>farmland below? Amazing! No kidding! I am even more amazed at the guy changing the flat on his landrover to the lower right, what detail!Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/tfbeta.jpg
