I have ASCA and AS and can get ASCA to link with FSX and P3Dv4  but cannot find a way to link AS with FSX?

On same computer or networked?  Which version of Active Sky?

There are separate versions of ActiveSky for FSX, P3Dv3, and P3Dv4.  You need to use the version appropriate for the sim in use.

So I have to buy the FSX version? Strange that their ASCA is for both P3Dv4 and FSX but their AS is not.

Not strange in the least.  ASCA is really just textures, while ActiveSky is a program that contains the weather engine and other code based goodies.
