Purpose of the Navdata Folder?

Recommended Posts

Upon looking in the %programfiles(x86)%\Multi Crew Experience folder, I noticed a Navdata subfolder. What purpose do the files in this folder serve, and is this navdata updatable somehow? By the looks of it, the data in there is quite out of date.

Thanks!

I'd also be interested in being able to update this too

That information is mainly used for some features like slewing aircraft to a specific taxiway or runway by voice. Mostly Blind Visually Impaired pilots using it.

Some of the data can be updated.

Run "MakeRunways" on your FSX or P3D installation and send the generated files to support.
