I seem to have a problem with loading a route via the  the DLNK?ACARS page on the cnter CDU.

After I populated the ORIGIN, DEST and FLIGHT NO in the RTE page an the pilots CDU, I then go to the center CDU and select DLINK from the MENU page.Next, I select PREFLIGHT with LSK1L on the ACARS MAIN MENU. However, the ORIG STA, DEST STA are NOT automatically populated, only the FLT NUM, PLN DEP DATE and the ATC FLT ID.

If I now populate the missing fields manually and press DLNK CNCT/LSK6R, it changes to DLNK SYNC, but I never get the chime nor an EICAS message. However, the DLNK ACT will appear and I can load the route with the REQUEST SENT and the LOAD command on the pilot's FMC.

Simulator is P3Dv4.4.

It seems that's what I have been doing (populating the fields manually).

As per original write up:

"As the logon is occurring, the bottom right of the <PREFLIGHT page will show "CXN SYNC. Once logged in, you will hear a CHIME, and an accompanying EICAS message, and the prompt on the <PREFLIGHT page will also show "DLINK ACT.

Question: Are we still to hear a CHIME and see a EICAS message?

Yes.

Well, that's NOT happening on my A?C - NO CHIME & NO EICAS message. Any ideas

Once the DLink become active, go to the FMC. Send will become active. Press the LSK and it will go to a second page. Take the option at bottom right and it will send you back to the first page where send will become sending.

That's what I have been doing and I can load the route that way, however the CHIME and the EICAS message is still a NO HEAR / NO SHOW!

The chime does not sound neither are there any EICAS messages in the 400 which I am currently flying.

The -400 never did this.
