BTW, when you say, "In the real world you are greeted...", is that from your own RL travel experience, or just a general remark...? I think I've touched (or at least overflown.....) most of the contiguous 48, but, Alaska is one state, I've never come close in RL...maybe one day...Thanks for posting.
May 13, 20197 yr Great pics, I only saw the Aleutians once, but at FL350 as I was crossing the ocean between SFO and Narita on a cloudy flight. The clouds broke just at the right time for me to see the Aleutians below surrounded by a gray Pacific. John

Actually it's both, P_7878. I have flown on UA quite a few times from LA via Narita into SE Asia in the 80s, 90s and 00s.
