Unwanted Gimbal View

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm using the PMDG 777 and I have a couple of Chase Plane cockpit views. For the external view, I use the S key.

I noticed that if I do nothing for a time, then the view switchs to an external view that says 'Chase Plane view - Gimbal".

Then I cannot come back to the onboard view with my usual joystick buttons. Only way to recover is to open Chase Plane.

How can I avoid that "Gimbal view"?

After a period  of inactivity, CP will automatically change to external view. Although I do not know if this can be disabled, just move your mouse and it will get you back into the cockpit view.

preferences->camera->cinematic mode->auto-enable slider.

you can use the slider to adjust the time delay before it turns on the mode or you can turn it off by setting the slider to the leftmost position (it will say "Auto-Enable Disabled")

Your help is much appreciated! Thanks.

Andy, I'll try your tip and I'm sure it will fix my "problem".
