Parking Brake Problem

Recommended Posts

Something has just started happening.  When the engines are running I can engage and disengage the parking brake (ctrl + .).  But when the engines are off the keypress doesn't work to either engage or disengage.  For instance, in the PMDG 737 I can manually disengage the brake within the cockpit, hear the click and see the brake disengage but looking at the bottom of the screen you can see that they're still engaged and keypresses won't work.  As soon as I start the engines, all is well again.  Help please!

The PMDG birds emulate chocks by setting the parking brakes internally in the sim.  If the chocks are in place, you won't be able to get that parking brake message to go out.

The brakes also require hydraulic pressure, so if the electric pumps aren't on when the engines are off, that could be an issue as well.

Regards

Yep, me too... had the same problem... Engaged the Hydraulics and all was fine... Glad to see it was not me only...  I kept restarting the SIM, until I looked at it more scientificaly... A "Doh!" moment...
