Hi all,

I'm considering to buy the combo ENVTEX & ENVSHADE. I've watched videos and screenshots and read users feedback. The price, simplicity and colours seem fine to me.

However I am a bit reluctant because:

- Some addon support teams say that it is best to avoid addons that modify shaders (eg. ENVSHADE) because they can cause conflicts

- I'm not knowledgeable with shaders so I don't want to tweak or fix in case of problem

- I saw some recent posts by users having ENVDIR problem with the recent versions of P3D (I'm running 4.4)

- I read that some users had some serious difficulties to uninstall ENVTEX & ENVSHADE

I'm wondering if ENVTEX & ENVSHADE are really stable and do not provoke conflicts with the sim or other addons for the vast majority of users?

I've just reinstalled P3D following an issue with GSX/Couatl so I do not want to make another reinstall in case of problem.

Also, it seems that there is an option to NOT apply ENVSHADE to aircrafts VC and 3D models?

I'm only interested in shader effects on the environment.

Been using Envshade and Envtex with zero compatibility issues ever.  Envshade will effect the VC.  There is no option to disable that.  But why would you want to?  It does a nice job improving the VC lighting.  I always keep a back up of my original shader folder so I can always go back if needed.
