What is SPLASH.EXE?

Featured Replies

I just noticed this runs and found it is located in the MCE folder...can you tell me what it is and what it does?

Sure,

It's just the splash screen that shows up while MCE is loading.

It can only be started by "mce.exe".

This is to avoid having the splash related code and heavy resources, included in "mce.exe" which would bloat it. A Lean and mean executable is always a must for performance.

Splash automatically terminates when MCE is up and running.

Thanks Gerald. I found it when I went to open the volume mixer...for some reason, it shows up there.
