Consistency of weather inside and out of the cockpit

Featured Replies

Hi Mates,

I've been flying quite a bit around KVPS (the default P3D airport) laterly. It seems that there are often thunderstorms in that region of the US 😉

Today this is what I could see in the cockpit (rain):

But on the external view, there is no rain:

I can live with that but I'm curious: what do you think guys?

I'm using:

  • A2A C172
  • ASP4
  • SkyForce 3D

A2A has added rain drops to their windshields. I don't know exactly how they know when to spend this effect but their threshold for moisture may be a little low. Then again you may be high enough with enough moisture in the atmosphere to trigger the effect. You could drop height when this happens and see if you lose the water on windshield as you go down. It could be accurate, who knows.

Makes sense Jim.

Thank you for the suggestion.

I'll try that next time.
