dynamic lighting

Featured Replies

All,

When I took off in "Winter" from Quito (SEQM), I noticed a very dark scenery with almost black airport grounds etc. Runways and buildings looked normal with normal colors. I tried to change that by turning dynamic lighting on. It worked. The scenery looked as it should be with green airport grounds and everything.

I started a flight from Orlando (KMCO) with the dynamic lighting still active from that flight out of Quito. The scenery looked dark and the airport grounds almost black, similar to the previous Quito situation. I turned off the dynamic lighting and everything looked and was normal again. It made me wonder what happened and how this works; one time with dynamic lighting on every thing looks fine, the other occasion everything is black with dynamic lighting on.

Can somebody explain to me how this works.

I am puzzled anyway.

Thanks

Regards

Hans

was this during the day or night ?

There was an update to seqm a few months ago that fixed some anomalies with dynamic lighting.  Not sure if that’s the answer since you saw problems with mco too

It happened both during the day. The SEQM scenery has just been installed by me about two weeks ago.

Thanks for asking.

I don't know. I am not aware I am using them or not.

Hello,

I found a thread that solved the issue. I did not properly shut down Sky Force and Environment Force.

Thanks for your help.

Hans

Glad you got it resolved and for following up. It may help someone else in the future.
