FSX-SE

Hi all,

I'm not quite sure how I've done this but when loading FSX-SE I get this error message: 'Scenery.cfg file error. Invalid remote scenery path in scenery area.115.'

I've looked at the scenery.cfg at Area.115 and it reads like this:

[Area.115]
Title=Addon Scenery
Layer=115
Active=TRUE
Required=TRUE
Local=
Remote=

Is it missing something, the 'Remote' call perhaps? If so, what should it be? None of the other areas have a 'Remote' call so I've nothing to go on.

Like I said, I don't know how or what I did to cause this. I mean, I've tinkered around with stuff but not the scenery other than adding stuff to the ADD-ON scnery folder. However, I emptied it to see if it was something in there that caused this and still got the error so... Where do I go and what might I do?

Thanks in advance, collective hive!

Hi D,

It might be best to copy your Active Scenery.cfg in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX paste it in your response.

This is what I have for [Area.115]  FSX DVD version

[Area.115]
Title=Addon Scenery
Local=Addon Scenery
Layer=115
Active=TRUE
Required=FALSE

Notice that there is no "Remote="   entry.

Try removing the Remote= line

Change Required=TRUE  to FALSE

then adding Addon Scenery to the Local= line

Save the edited Scenery.cfg  > Exit Notepad. Start your sim let the database rebuild check for any error message with regards Scenery.cfg file errors.
