August 2, 20196 yr I've noticed this a few times recently - flying VFR, everything looks fine. But if I fly IFR, the runway and taxiways look normal, but where the grass should be is all black. And once you're airborne, the ground has a glow to it that illuminates through the clouds. It almost looks like the ground is burning. Anyone experience this? Could it be because I don't use Environment Force when flying IFR?
