August 4, 20196 yr I'm using a 10 day trial of Pilot2ATC and will buy after that. I've been using all the features for 2 days now and love it but one thing I'm a little confused about. When I file the flight plan I assumed it was putting it in the FMC on the aircraft but it's not. Is Pilot2ATC suppose to put the plan in the FMC or do I have to enter it manually. I'm using P3D V4. Thanks John Snyder Jr John Snyder Jr
August 4, 20196 yr Commercial Member It depends on the aircraft. If the aircraft uses the flight plan stored in P3D, then yes, P2A can load it. You must be sure the "Load Cleared Flt Pln to P3D/FSX" option is checked on the FltPln tab of Config. If it is, then when you get clearance from ATC for the flight plan, it will load into P3D. If flying a 3rd Party aircraft, most require you to manually load the flight plan after having exported it to a specific folder. You would have to refer to the plane's operating instructions to see if that is possible. Dave
August 5, 20196 yr Author Thanks for the reply Dave, somewhat making progress here. I'm flying the PMDG 737 NGX but still not able to get the flight plan into the FMC. I've done what you suggested above and checked the paths in the CONFIG section but for some reason not able to export the flight plan to the aircraft. I'm able to save it in the documents folder but it's in a vcf (I think) format. Any idea's what I could be doing wrong. Thanks! John Snyder Jr
August 5, 20196 yr Commercial Member P2A exports to the PMDG .rte format. You then must load it into the aircraft FMC from the cockpit. It does not go directly into the FMC. Consult PMDG docs for where to export the plan to so it can be accessed by the FMC. Dave
