August 10, 20196 yr I have done my first flight...very pleasant! Question: is it normal that I have to mantain the pilot twistgrip in the FULL open position since the engine start for all over the flight, if I decrease it also of a bit...the engine shut down?! I thought I could set it to idle on the ground before take off...and also to use it in combination with the collective during take off and cruise. December 6, 20196 yr Commercial Member don't max out the throttle... you will likely kill the engine. Try running it lower. That might help. December 7, 20196 yr Thank you very much for your feedback! But the question was obviously misunderstood: Unfortunately the throttle must be set to max out - otherwise the engine will die !? The real question is: why can't I turn down the throttle a little - is that so wanted ? greetings ggerolamo kind regards, ggerolamo

December 11, 20196 yr Commercial Member It's collective that you don't want to max out. Not the throttle. Throttle needs to be at 100% in order to sustain rotor RPM Edited December 11, 20196 yr by JB3DG Jonathan "FRAG" Bleeker Formerly known here as "Narutokun" If I speak for my company without permission the boss will nail me down.
