This happened to me twice in the past. Don't ask me why because I have no idea.

Intel i7 10700K | Asus Maximus XII Hero | Asus TUF RTX 3090 | 32GB HyperX Fury 3200 DDR4 | 1TB Samsung M.2 (W11) | 2TB Samsung M.2 (MSFS2020) | Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280mm AIO | 43" Samsung Q90B | 27" Asus Monitor

As Marc sid can happen for many reasons that is why I keep a clean file wthou any assignmen...

Once you clean all your setting (dont forget slew) , export the settings by selecting export and give it a name say Clean  and the date , this file is kept as a name.xml in your documents\prepar3d V4 files\

when all is s.t go t controls and import it ...now all is clear again..
