August 23, 20196 yr This link provides information on fixing this error when reinstalling FSX but the tool is for every software on your computer, not just FSX. You need to reset your license - Follow the links in the topic to download the tool and get instructions on how to use it. Here is a link to info regard both the 1722 and 1603 errors - It provides info on editing your registry to get rid of the 1603 error and how to use the 1722 tool. Make sure you use an elevated Command Prompt when using the 1722 tool or it will fail. In the search box, type Command Prompt and look up in the menu and look for "Run as Administrator" and click on that. Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! August 24, 20196 yr For the elevated command prompt, you just need to change directories until you load the resetsldl -All then hit enter (make sure you include -All in the command. It should work unless it was completed successfully during your many attempts. As I recall I put the resetsldl application in my System 32 directory and then entered resetsldl -All. This is when I had issues reinstalling FSX/Acceleration though and it worked. This program is for all licensed software on your computer except Windows. If the Registry entry is already set from 0 to PartMgr (case sensitive), then no further action can be taken. It is not the issue. If you still have issues, it is probably best to simply reset Windows. I have had to do that a couple of times as I ran into frustrating issues like you have seen. Although the reset works, it told me that it would not mess with my FSX/P3D installs and it did so I believe I ended up doing "repair" installs for these programs. Scenery for P3D is automatically installed when P3D is installed as it reads the Add-on.xml's and automatically adds them to your scenery.cfg (and Lorby-Si's Addon Organizer if you use that nice utility). Believe all the add-on aircraft worked too once P3D was repaired or reinstalled (reinstalling only requires reinstalling the client). Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! August 24, 20196 yr 1 hour ago, sdenton said: When yo say you put resetsldl in System 32 are you copy and paste it?? I rarely do the copy and paste but you can do that too if the file is not too large. I usually copy the file to the new directory as it will copy if you do not touch the Shift key. I have never used DISM and doubt it will help you with your issue. I do recommend using the System File Checker that looks for corrupted or missing system files and repairs them if any are found. This is in the AVSIM CTD Guide. The problem with just running the System File Checker is that if it finds corrupt or missing files it will go to the DISM image and retrieve the files. But, if the DISM image is also corrupt and needing repair, it probably will not fix the problem. I did note your command line for restoring health is not the same as shown in Windows Central. They show a space between the slashes: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth . I suspect you know this as you were able to run the command and per your original post. When you repair a Windows 10 DISM you will then have to use the Recovery tool found with Windows 10 update. I think Advanced Startup is the thing you would want to run if you know the system image has been repaired. I have never used that option and only the reset PC option.
