September 5, 20196 yr Where are you flying? For the US, the above mentioned "plug and play" ortho packages by Forkboy are as good as it gets. Other regions - you're out of luck for now. I'd say try his California, it's the state of the art - once you see it in action, in combination with X-Plane Autogen tech, there's no going back. There are no other texture replacements available for X-Plane. Also, vector packages do not exist - vector data in X-Plane is very good to start with. https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/36327-us-orthophotos/ If you don't care about orthos and just want a better mesh (which results in better depicted cities, too), try the HD Mesh V4, which was the essential add-on before orthos came along - the only reason this mesh isn't in vanilla X-Plane (it's made by the same guy) is that the data is too large for distribution by Laminar. http://www.alpilotx.net/downloads/x-plane-11-hd-mesh-scenery-v4/ As for textures and Autogen, X-Plane overlord Mister X has something cooking (global texture replacement and regional autogen for other regions than US), but it hasn't been released yet. He did however release a preview called "Japan Pro" which has regional Autogen and some landmarks for Japan. https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/49095-japan-pro/ - Currently giving X-Plane 12.10 a spin on Shadow PC. 10 years with X-Plane now, since 10.20
