Hello you HW gurus out there! I hope you can Still stand one more Is-this-good-system question. Here we go with it...

I am going to have a new pc mainly for P3D. I have an offer for a system like this:

- Intel Coffee Lake Core i7-9700K, LGA1151, 3.60 GHz

- G.Skill 32GB (2 x 16GB) Ripjaws V, DDR4

- GeForce GTX 1660 Ti

- Asus PRIME Z390-P

- Alpenföhn Ben Nevis Advanced

- Samsung 500GB 970 EVO Plus SSD

- Seagate 4TB BarraCuda

How would you rate this system for P3D?

There is a bottle neck in every system. What is it here?

And, should I install the OS to SSD and P3D to HDD or both of them to SSD? Is the 500GB enough?

Looks like a nice system..

Personally, I would go for a 2070 GPU, but your current choice will no doubt do a good job, especially if you are staying with a 1080p monitor.

Try to get fast RAM.. even if it costs a bit more, and if necessary settle for 2 X 8GB.

As for harddrives, install both Windows and P3D on the SSD.  P3D addons can migrate to the harddrive if they are really big... or as prices are coming down, keep the HDD for data and backups and add another SSD as space becomes an issue.

Thanks for both of you, Bert and Rob! That really helped me.

I will update the SSD to 1TB and will take a look at the prices for a (even) better video card (and have a look at my poor bank account).
