September 9, 200619 yr HiHave the multiplayer system been redone so you don't have to open any ports in your firewall to be able to connect to a multiplayer session? Thanks,Klas Klas Member of AVSIM's Around the World Race Team

All you have to do is click on the multiplayer screen and (with-in FSX), create a username and password with gamespy. You never leave FSX during this process and takes less than 30 seconds. Then after that you just have to log into multiplayer from within FSX, pick a game to join or direct connect to someone's IP and you're off.

September 9, 200619 yr Hi All; Just wondering if a fairly fast dialup connection will suffice,or will it "require" something more? Denny Retired Professional Tourist
September 9, 200619 yr >Hi All;>> Just wondering if a fairly fast dialup connection will>suffice,>or will it "require" something more?I can't imagine playing games online with dial up of any kind, I put that behind years ago. I'd really suggest that you have atleast a low speed broadband connection, especailly considering voice chat.

September 10, 200619 yr Author Despite Dan's 'doom and gloom' (sorry Dan :-) ) for years I flew with VATSIM on a dial-up connection Denny.I guess it's like everything else in FS, a balancing act between eye candy and functionality.IF you are on dial-up give it a try, after all you have nothing to loose.
