October 22, 20196 yr CUK Mantis Z390 Custom Gaming Desktop Computer $3892 CAN ($2967.31 US) To be as future proof as possible I maxed out all of the upgrades to the following: 1 x Intel Core i9-9900K Eight-Core Processor (16MB Cache, 3.6GHz-5.0GHz) 95W with 240mm Liquid CPU Cooler RAM 1 x 64GB (4 x 16GB) 2666MHz DDR4 Desktop Solid State Drive 1 x 2TB M.2 NVMe 2280 SSD 3.5" Hard Disk Drive 1 x 2TB 7200rpm 3.5" Desktop Hard Disk Drive GPU and Power Supply 1 x NVIDIA RTX 2080 Ti 11GB GDDR6 Graphics Card (AC-GPU-241) + 750W 80+ Gold PSU OS 1 x Windows 10 Home x64-bit This will be used for VR gaming such as DCS, flyinside, areofly fs2, but would like it to be ready for MSFT 2020 when it is launched...especially if they go VR down the road. I've been comparing on amazon etc and this seems like a competitive price. Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated since it is a big purchase. I need a PC now because my current barely meets the minimum specs for VR. My other option is to go with a minimum spec PC and plan to upgrade in a couple years. October 22, 20196 yr Swap out that 64GB RAM for 32GB of much faster RAM. Guarantee you can't come up with a scenario that comes anywhere near 64GB RAM usage for flight sim. G.Skill recently announced 32GB 4000MHz DDR4, Zadak announced 32GB 4133MHz DDR4. You'll have better performance with either of these kits and save money too. These kits aren't out yet, but have been announced with availability expected before the end of the year. Everything else looks good, though without knowing which specific SSD, hard drive, and power supply have been equipped it's not possible to refine these choices further. October 22, 20196 yr There's an old saying about home computers: "It's already obsolete the minute you take out of the box"... But I think this rig will give you years of flying enjoyment !
