November 10, 20196 yr I just today got the rxp 530 for fsx and I'm dismayed by the low graphics. I have been using the inexpensive sf 530 and it's display is much sharper and cleaner. Is there a setting in rxp to remedy this? Edited November 11, 20196 yr by RXP

I recommend to get faster help that you indicate what aircraft you are using it in, whether your experience so far is with the GNS in the virtual cockpit (2D panel) -or- GNS as a pop-up, and finally, what screen resolution settings do you have applied in the simulator. Hey there, well I mean that while the bezel and buttons and fonts on it are crisp and clear, the graphics on the display look to be much lower, almost like blocky cga era letters and lines.

Thanks, I use the gps as an undocked window on a 2nd monitor. I run at 2560x1440.

It would likely be good to say what at size (dimensions) do you display it on that monitor. For instance, I display my pop up on my primary screen over the VC, and at about the real world GNS 530 actual size of about 6.25" by 4.50" on a 27" screen at 1920 x 1080 and the graphics are fine (not what I would consider low). Based on what you are providing I believe others using a setup similar to yours will be able to help you. I did a couple image searches and I guess what I'm seeing is about what the real world unit displays. I was expecting something more like what is shown in this pic. I had rxp install at 1:1. November 11, 20196 yr This makes sense now! The genuine Reality XP GNS 530/430 V2 is the authentic simulation of the real Garmin GNS devices. The device screen resolution is 320x234 pixels for the 5XX and 240x128 for the 4XX. This is what you are referring to 'blocky like CGA' graphics and this is normal and expected!
