September 28, 200619 yr Hi folks, As FSx comes closer to being on my harddrive, I wanted to try Holger's Columbia River scenery on my new computer. I had it installed on my old computer and remember there were some issues with ctd's, but I don't remember what corrected them. What is happening now is that I can't select any of the airports Holger mentions in the readme as I always get a ctd and the famous message from MS that there was a problem etc.I carefully installed the software per the readme and ran the scan progam (scanafd) to check for duplicate afcads - none were found. I also did a search for the specific airports afcads and also didn't find any duplicates. But here's the crazy thing. When I look at the Go TO Airport screen for one the airports, I see 2 or 3 entries for the SAME airport. If anybody has any suggestion, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm a fan of all of Holger's work and would love to see Colummbia River on my new computer along with the new fantastic Real Environment Pro.Thanks for your help
October 1, 200619 yr Commercial Member Hi Howard, sorry, I was away last week...Maybe the crashes have to do with the way I adjust the airport elevations? The strange listings in the GO TO Airport menu seem to indicate that. Have a look at this thread - http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...topic_id=240404 - and try the work-around I suggest.Cheers, Holger
October 2, 200619 yr Author Do you have the Rainainside Flight Sim Manager? If not, I highly recommend installing it. It has some amazing tools for finding, diagnosing, and fixing FS problems. It's available here at AVSIM.I sure hope somebody does something similar for FSX.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-) Tom Perry
