November 30, 20196 yr Hello, I have had my GTN unit built into my FSW Lear35 for a few months now (which I love btw), but lately I have been getting these freezes. I have a crash app that records all freezes and crashes on my computer and lately it has been pointing the fingers at the GTN program. All of the crashes are .dll’s within the GTN, one of the common ones being KRNLSIM.dll. Any ideas on how to fix these crashes? They’re happening more frequently than when I first got the system.
December 1, 20196 yr Hi, I'd suggest you let us know the content of the RXP log files (see user's manual for file/path) to get started. Can you also copy/paste the crash data you're referring to?
December 18, 20196 yr Author Sorry for such a late reply I was actually on a business trip. as stated before I have this installed into my FSW Lear 35A. it is worth noting that Mark with FSW has it set up that the aircraft automatically places any panel into the Learjet automatically. though everything seems to be working on that end of the spectrum. also before each crash now I am getting a memory error pop up which is weird because my computer has 32 gigs of RAM installed. I also run the latest Nvidia drivers for my RTX 2070. not really sure what's going on, as time passes the crashes are getting more frequent! Thank you for your assistance. 19/12/17 23:34:33.707 04976 - ] # rxpGTN.dll version 2.5.21.1 19/12/17 23:34:33.707 04976 INFO ] 19/12/17 23:34:35.560 04976 - ] # rxpGtnSim64.dll version 2.5.21.1 December 18, 20196 yr Author this is the memory error I am getting. it is a pop up GTN Simulator.exe - Application Error The instruction at 0x000000005CE8844E referenced memory at 0x0000000000000004 the memory could not be written. Click on OK to terminate the program
December 19, 20196 yr Author It is also worth noting that my GPU is not overclocked at all. But it does have the most current build.
December 19, 20196 yr Author Welcome! I uninstalled my Nvidia drivers yesterday and did a fresh install. Afterwards I uninstalled the Garmin Trainer and installed fresh. I did a test flight in the Lear from KIDA-KTNP. First half of the trip was smooth. About halfway to my destination I got the memory pop up. I clicked “ok” to terminate the program and the Garmin actually runs for another 10 seconds before it freezes P3Dv4.5. Then I have to ax everything via “task manager”.
December 19, 20196 yr After further investigations: Do you run any sort of 'process tool' (like Process Lasso or equivalent)? Have you set any of the 'debug' settings documented in the RXP GTN User's Manual?

I have my firewall disabled on my computer as well. And by debug setting you mean where you explain how to properly set the Nvidia driver thing? I forgot exactly what it said but I tried my best to follow it. It wasn’t exactly how it was not my computer because of windows 10 layout...

In the RXP GTN Manual troubleshooting section there are a few 'for debug only' settings you can manually set (one related to video card the other related to the trainer error reporting). Just delete these from your INI file and compare.

December 19, 20196 yr Author Well like I said I run the latest Nvidia driver for my RTX card. When I first got the Garmin system a few months back I was using a totally different driver. Could this be a driver issue? I can revert back to a driver I was using before to see if it helps but I also know it’s not recommended with P3D to use old drivers.... if you personally have a Nvidia card, which driver are you currently using? I can try my best to match it and see if I still get freezes and crashes.
