Honeycomb Alpha Kneeboard / Clipboad

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

Just wanted to let you know that I have designed and produced a batch of clip boards for the Honeycomb Alpha flight controls. its 100mm wide x 175 mm tall, comes assembled with a clip and is foam padded to not mess up the finish on the Alpha. It was made in part using 3D scanning to get the exact contours of the yoke, so it fits in place and stays there - doesn't add any weight either. Please see the link below:

Looks like a nice and useful add-on.  If I ever end up getting a Honeycomb yoke then I'd consider your product.

All the best, Paul.

Very nice. You should show a second image, one without the paper.

I use my iPad.  What I would like is a mount for my timer, called the Flight Timer, from Sporty's pilot shop.  The timer comes with a metal clip and elastic restraint, which worked great mounting around the shaft of my former Saitek yoke (see center of yoke in photo).  However the shaft of the Honeycomb Alpha is not as thick and the same mount just cannot get traction to stay in place.  There is a wider flange that is part of the rear of the yoke handle where the shaft is attached to it, but when mounted that close to the back the clip portion of the mount is not tall enough for the timer to clear the top lip. So it just will not fit there.

Sporty's has a newer mount with a clip that fits to a yoke shaft, but I am concerned that again the Honeycomb Alpha shaft is too thin in diameter.  It also has not gotten great reviews.

Frank, FWIW the etsy listing has numerous photos of Paul's product, but I appreciate including a picture without the paper in the original post may have more of an instant impact.

I now see.  I was captured so much by the posted photo that I failed to click the link.

I hope you didn't think I was being snarky, Frank. Looking at it in the light of another day, it might read that way, but I was being matter of fact. Sometimes it's hard to tell on a written forum. If we were chatting face to face over a brew (coffee or beer) it would be easier to tell.
