January 5, 20206 yr Hi there I am having to manually add my flight plan to FMC as I am unable to export it successfully from vroute. I did this years ago with PMDG 747 and understand where it should appear in FMC under co route, and also know which folder it needs to be saved in, however when I download the Flightplan it appears to save as a web page and not in a format that can be saved appropriately. I know I must be doing something wrong but can’t seem to work this out! Would appreciate some Assistance!
January 5, 20206 yr well if it helps, I use this website:http://onlineflightplanner.org/ and the first thing you do at the top of the page is select the desired file format.
February 24, 20206 yr I use simbrief for making my flight plans, after you generate an OFP (operational flight plan) you can either download it manually (in PMDG format and/or FSX format), or use their download tool which will export the flight plans to the correct folders with a single click. The best part is, it's free! https://www.simbrief.com/. If you want to do it the manual way, make sure you download the .rte file (FSX uses the .pln file format, which PMDG won't detect).
April 4, 20206 yr Agree on SimBrief. Easily download the proper format for direct loading into FMC's for PMDG 737, 747, also other mfrs such as FSL, Majestic, or vanilla FSX P3D Really cant be beat. best, rgds, JB 9800x3d, ASUS TUF x870, 64GB G.Skill DDR5, MSI Ventus 4080, HP Reverb G2 VR, FlyVirtual.net, Private Pilot SEL rating, subLogic FlightSim 1983 & every release since
