There's an opening video? There's no video file being played on my FSX......

LOL! :D

Well, I must have done something wrong on install, because up until the last 2 start ups I was getting an ultralight video. Now all is well.I also installed to a new hd with nothing on it and it would not let me install to a root hd.So I created a Microsoft Games folder and installed it to that ,just as FS9 .Everything works ,but I went to my Microsoft Games folder, opened it and I have MSFX but it does not show Flight Simulator X.Under Microsoft Games I have all of the MSFX folders but not Flight Simulator X,so I changed the folder name to Flight Simulator X.Now all is OK.I am an old guy that has been doing this for a long time. Will one of you young guys let me know if I am having a brain drain?I know it's not a brain #### because my kids tell me that is when you come up with a solution. Thanks,Ron

Options/Settings/General . . . . uncheck "Show opening screen".If interpret your post right, this should give you what you want.CalCYXX

Hmm, well I'm very certain there is no video......however, you may not be loosing your mind: the first time I sparked FSX up, it started with some sort of "in game" script, with AI planes about the airport, and pre-configured views and so on. It would have looked a lot like a "video" had my computer had enough muscle to look good. Maybe that's what you are seeing? If so, at least we know what you are talking about, but I'm afraid someone else will have to direct you to the solution! :D
