pilot2atc and AFM M20 Ovation II

Featured Replies

I tried to fly the AFM M20 Ovation II using pilot2atc.  It was as if gremlins were taking command of the coms and constantly randomly switching between com1 and com2 frequencies in pilot2atc so that I could not use the aircraft.  I tried a different aircraft and pilot2atc behaved normally.  Has anyone tried the AFM M20 Ovation II with pilot2atc?  Any suggestions as to why frequencies are being switched randomly with this aircraft?

Have you checked the audio panel to see if it is powered on. I have to manually power it on before it works for me. Even when using the RXP 750.

I suspect that the aircraft has a special implementation of the radios that does not interact in the usual manner with XPUIPC/P2A.  You might see if switching the frequencies only from the aircraft makes a difference.  Of course, this would mean that you can't have the co-pilot in P2A handle the radios.

You could also try setting the radios to Com1 from the aircraft.  Then see if it will stay on Com1 while switching frequencies in P2A.

Thanks for the suggestions.  I'll try it again, using your suggestions and see if it makes any difference.
