March 12, 20206 yr Just bought the Thrustmaster T.16000M and HOTAS, I'm running Prepar3d 4.50 on Windows 10 home. The instructions for the joystick stae that windows will find and install the driver. The throttle instructions say to download the driver and its windows custom control panel ftom the Thrustmaster site. The above is seperate from the TARGET software which I'm trying to avoid using. Can anyone who has this setup advise please? March 12, 20206 yr You don't have to use the TARGET software, so you should set the controls directly in P3D. I recommend you to download the drivers for the joystick and for the throttle (from memory I think the throttle drivers also include the pedals in case you have those too), and install them in your computer. March 12, 20206 yr Basically both are plug and play. I would avoid the Thrustmaster drivers and software altogether. I use Prepar3Ds own calibration tool and remap buttons to my own preference. Keep an eye on the joysticks twist axis performance...it is a known point of failure. My first one lasted for just over 3 years but I have heard on them failing within 6 months. 9800X3D + RTX 4080 + 64GB DDR5
