October 14, 200619 yr I've read the other posts about pushback and none of them address this question. When I hit Shift-P and either 1 (tail goes left) or 2 (tail goes right) the tug turns the aircraft almost immediately, long before it gets out further onto the ramp where RL aircraft are normally turned.I've tried Shift-P and waiting till the aircraft is further out and then hitting the 1 or 2 key but it doesn't work. At this stage, I only hit Shift-P to move straight back. After I'm much further out I hit Shift-P and the tug disengages and returns to the stand. I can then hit Shift-P and 1 or 2 and pushback works without the tug and turns me now at a point much further from the terminal. Is there a setting that can be changed that gives a longer pushback before initiating the turn?DougDell XPS Gen3 (3.6GHz/800FSB) | 2GB DDR SDRAM | 74GB SATA, 10k RPM (C: ) | 120GB SATA (D: ) | 512MB ATI Radeon X1900XTX (Catalyst 6.8) | Audigy 2 ZS Sound | MS Force Feedback 2 | WindowsXP Pro (SP2) | DirectX 9.0c Doug Miannay PC: i9-13900K (OC 6.1) | ASUS Maximus Z790 Hero | ASUS Strix RTX4080 (OC) | ASUS ROG Strix LC II 360 AIO | 32GB G.Skill DDR5 TridentZ RGB 6400Hz | Samsung 990 Pro 1TB M.2 (OS/Apps) | Samsung 990 Pro 2TB M.2 (Sim) | Samsung 990 Pro 2TB M.2 (Games) | Fractal Design Define R7 Blackout Case | Win11 Pro x64
October 14, 200619 yr I didnt know they had added a pushback with tug feature in FSX.Last night I was attempting to push back from a stand which I had parked at from a previous flight, (had saved my flight once engines were off)anyway.... i fired up the engines and pressed shift Pas I wasnt expecting it, I was suprised and happy to see a tug come over... I watched it , expecting it to connect to the front wheel.... it done a full circle around the front wheel underneath the front of the aircraft (boeing).I was like hmmm... he must have misturned or somthingso he comes back around, but he just kept circling the front wheel and never actually connected???is this a bug or do I have to press anything else to initiate pushback?I jsut ended up rev-thrusting loll

It works the same way as FS9 does. After pressing Shift-P, you cannot change view or touch any other key before hitting the 1 or 2 keys to begin the turn......after hitting either 1 or 2 to initiate the turn, the a/c will continue straight back for one additional plane length before turning.
