October 14, 200619 yr Hi,I have been having trouble like a lot of people with bad FPS in FSX. I need some help as I only get 10FPS at best. So I though that it might be a good idea to have a post where people who are getting OK frame rates can post what setting they have in FSX and also what their computer specs are so that people with a similar setup can tune FSX to give the best results based on what others have got.Hope some people might find this intersting.Andy S
October 14, 200619 yr Hi Andy,This has been discussed and there are some folks working on a solution to catalog configurations and performance. Not sure when they'll have something set up but I believe it's in work. You might consider adding your computer specs in your signature here at Avsim (similar to what I and many others have in their signatures). This helps folks at a glance to know what type system you have and you don't have to retype all that stuff everytime someone asks :)DougDell XPS Gen3 (3.6GHz/800FSB) | 2GB DDR SDRAM | 74GB SATA, 10k RPM (C: ) | 120GB SATA (D: ) | 512MB ATI Radeon X1900XTX (Catalyst 6.8) | Audigy 2 ZS Sound | MS Force Feedback 2 | WindowsXP Pro (SP2) | DirectX 9.0c Doug Miannay PC: i9-13900K (OC 6.1) | ASUS Maximus Z790 Hero | ASUS Strix RTX4080 (OC) | ASUS ROG Strix LC II 360 AIO | 32GB G.Skill DDR5 TridentZ RGB 6400Hz | Samsung 990 Pro 1TB M.2 (OS/Apps) | Samsung 990 Pro 2TB M.2 (Sim) | Samsung 990 Pro 2TB M.2 (Games) | Fractal Design Define R7 Blackout Case | Win11 Pro x64
October 14, 200619 yr You can find some good tweaks for FSX here http://www.fox-fam.com/wordpress/?page_id=41, there is also some tweaks to find on this board.Be carefull and back up especially if you try the "shader tweaks", because you may find your screen messed up in missions with them.
October 14, 200619 yr Author Still trying to get a good settings profile but without much luck. I'll keep reading this forum though.Hopefully the system spect thing will work on this post. Andy S
