Flickering Gauges Carenado S550 (resolved)

Featured Replies

I am having an issue, ever since I installed GTN 750, randomly (usually reaching CRZ altitude) on my Carenado Cessna Citation II S550 v1.2 on XP11, screen gaguges start flickering. Like even the Carenado menu on the left dissaperas an re-appears! I tried with addons (ActiveSKy, xPilot), without, different weatehr, locations. and always the same thing.

I click and the screens flicker, then click again and kind of come back, then click a button and start flickering, and again and again. Impossible to flight. Is not like one click turns on and one off, but on interaction everything turns black EXCEPT THE GTN 750! Check the video

I think I might have just wasted 40 bucks on this. Any one can help me sort it out?

I just got the S550 on sale from Carenado for FSX-SE, and bought their NavGraph soon after.  But the NavGraph will just not initialize: Just sits there frozen.  After reading-up on this apparently long-running Carenado flaw in that system, I tried, for two hours, all the on-line tips to fix it, but with no joy.

I was actually thinking of getting the  GTN-750, but your post now makes me hesitant even about that...

Hi,

This doesn't look like a GTN directly induced problem and there shouldn't be any particular interaction between the 2.

However, can you cross check you're not over-budgeting the video card RAM when this occurs?

Is this also just happening with this aircraft or any other Carenado aircraft?
