April 4, 20206 yr Hello, With current outbreak, most of European scheduled services are suspended and finding out flight numbers has proven quite difficult. Previously, I used flightaware to find a flight between city pairs, but this is now rather useless. I do have FR24 gold subscription so I can search for flights if I would only have a flight number. It seems that you can't get historical data from FR24 when you are searching city pairs, but you can when you search by flight number. So does anyone know how to get a flight number if you know departure and destination airports. Thanks
April 4, 20206 yr I've been using this. It's by no means perfect as it relies on user contributions but it's not bad. https://edi-gla.co.uk/site/index Another resource you can use in conjunction with FR24 Gold is AI Flightplan files. They even have DEP/ARR times. However, FS AI flightplans don't support alphanumeric callsigns, so you have to take those flight numbers as IATA codes, pop them into FR24 and see what it gives you. Here's an example from the BA Winter 15/16 flightplans from AIG: EGLL,2/08:20,@2/16:15,320,F,0117,KJFK The "0117" is the flight number. So you'd search "BA117" in FR24. Hope this helps ;) Rashid Yacine
April 5, 20206 yr Author Thank you for your reply, Rashid. I checked out the website. It looks like a great source for general purpose flight planning, but unfortunately it only offers callsigns which more often than not, differ from flight numbers. I haven't dealt with AI schedules for ages as I only fly online, but I'm sure I can find some and extract the data as you suggested. Thank you very much for your input on this matter. Evros
