  1. I would suggest you use ModelConverterX, with which you can open the .bgl files in the scenery folder one by one until you find the one that contains the static aircraft. Hopefully they're alone in one file and you can simply delete that file. Otherwise, the program is able to delete individual models within a .bgl file.
  2. Even if you remove the static aircraft (simply by finding the correct file and deleting it, if you're lucky), your AI won't park in those spaces unless you also edit the AFCAD.
  3. SAS had lots of DC9s around that time, and possibly already had some MD80s.
  4. Well, yeah, and it looks like that's exactly what proponents of AI are pushing for, eventually.
  5. Contacts cause irritation and dryness which can be exacerbated in the dry air on an aircraft. I was told during Class 1 medicals to have a spare pair of glasses with me when wearing lenses, and a spare for the spare. This would help avoid the unlikely scenario in the (rather amusing) cartoon above. Instead of mucking about trying to find a contact lens, just pop the other one out, and put on your specs.

Careful, that's a deep rabbit hole to go down...🤣 That's my 2nd favourite song, ever, followed by Hell On Earth, also by Iron Maiden. They have a playlist on Youtube of the 2016 Book of Souls world tour (the one with the 747) which is great for a longish flight. Good mix of their old and new stuff, filmed in high quality throughout the tour. Even more impressive when you hear his voice, considering he had just recovered from throat cancer (during which he was studying for his 747 rating). Legend.
  7. Love this! I can see my house from the city wingview. Well, my block, at least...
  8. Hi Pete Welcome to the community! 👋😁 As mentioned above, you can get a current navigation database for all major addons (including the AS A330). Navdata Pro and Navigraph are the big ones, so it's worth checking out the packages they provide. Off the top of my head, Navigraph has a yearly subscription for around 70USD which includes monthly navdata updates *and* an application for charts with global coverage. They also provide single, current data cycles for a few dollars, if you aren't interested in charts or being constantly up to date. As for the view out the window, I assume you're looking for airport scenery? If so, I'd recommend WFSS, who make airports in China, including, off the top of my head, VHHH, ZBAA, ZGSZ, ZSSS, and ZSPD. There is also RKSI, RCTP and RPLL by PacSim (not sure if the latter 2 are V5 compatible out of the box), Drzwiecki Design RJAA, and WSSS by ImagineSim, which is soon to receive a big update (new runway with the ridiculous taxi length lol). Most, if not all, of these are available on Simmarket. Have a good browse on there and see what you can find. Good luck and happy/productive simming.
  9. افطوط الساحلي I think that's how they've spelt it. Some Arabic translations have the correct spelling, but they write it left to right (like English) so it's spelt backwards and unconnected. Arabic is always written in a cursive manner, and the letters look very different depending on where they sit in a word and certainly when written alone. The effect on computers with Arabic font (but no Arabic language pack) can be quite comical. I have a Transavia 737 repaint that does this. Transavia have the word "Welcome" in various languages by the L1 door. The Arabic one looks like "emoclew". 😂😂 So thank you for putting in the effort to get this right. Not all painters do. (I'm not complaining, I'm grateful for all the work the painters do in the community, and foreign linguistics and calligraphy are far from simple)
  10. Looks like the Thomas Ruth model? A truly talented freeware developer, and a stalwart of the freeware community. I love his work.
  11. Bear in mind that with the PMDG 747 you get multiple variants for the $140: the 400 Pax, 400F, 400BCF all with PW, RR, and GE engines, the 400ERF with GE and PW, and the 400D and 400ER with GE only (all as per what existed in real life). If you think about it that way it's slightly better value than it 1st appears, unlike so many addons these days that require you to pay extra for other variants. The 747-8i/8F is extra, of course. Regarding the Airbuses, one thing to consider is maybe the FSLA320 fo P3D and one of the other variants in XP12, the Toliss A319 or A321/NEO. That way you can have multiple variants in different sims, depending on your mood.
  12. PMDG BBJs are available. A bit bigger than what you're looking for, perhaps?
  13. Excellent set. You appear to have parked at the exact stand I departed from the other day (IRL). But that was a much less interesting A321NEO.
  14. I think that was actually Chennai (formerly Madras)?
