April 12, 20206 yr Hi, As you recommended before to install the new version over the top of the existing one without uninstalling. Can I confirm this retains all the scenery config and backup files previously set up with an older version? Regards Mark Hi, yes, the app is stateless regarding those files (only the scenery groups created with P4AO are local files, but those are retained too) Be advised that the latest version 1.50 (the one for P3D V5) has a different name now. So you should uninstall the old P4AO at some point, otherwise you have both versions on your computer. Best regards LORBY-SI

April 13, 20206 yr Author Hi Oliver, I wonder if you can provide some assistance for P3Dv4. I ran the new v1.50 installer and it duly installed. It detected some "new" FSDT scenery packages that were already installed and indicated it was going to move them to Add-ons. However If I look at the complete scenery list I now have some FSDT sceneries doubled in the main Scenery tab but also in the Packages tab as well. Can this be cleaned up? Why did it create double scenery entries for existing some sceneries? Thx Mark SpoilerSystem specs: MFG Crosswind pedals| ACE B747 yoke |Honeycomb Bravo throttleNow built: P3Dv5.3HF2: Intel i5-12600K @4.8Ghz | MSI Z690-A PRO | Asus Dual RTX 4070 Super OC 12Gb| 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200Mhz |Samsung 980Evo Pro PCIe 500Gb | WD Black SN850 PCIe 2Tb | WD SA510 4Tb |beQuiet 802 Tower Case|Corsair RM850 PSU | Acer Predator X34P 3440x1440pMark AldridgeMSFS2024 SU5 & P3D v5.3 HF2

What message did you get exactly? When you go to the Packages tab, what color does each FSDT package have? One dark, one light green? If that is the case, please check if there are add-on.xml files in your "Documents\Prepar3d V4 Add-ons\" folder that belong to the duplicates. AFAIK FSDT doesn't do it that way, there shouldn't be add-on.xmls in the autodiscovery path. FSDT installs their products with the CLI, so the add-on.xml files are somewhere else. (but I could be wrong about that?) Best regards Edited April 13, 20206 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
April 14, 20206 yr Author Hello Oliver, Here's the info you were asking about.See screenshots. What I did to reproduce this was to uninstall v1.50 and then revert back to v1.31 and restore the zip file containing the P4AO config files before I did the new installation, so essentially everything reverts back to my old P4AO setup. When I install v1.50 it generates a couple of notices: One for the new Packages being detected and the other for Autodiscovery. See screenshots below: New packages detected: https://photos.app.goo.gl/aRSSnDADBiDta3dK9 Autodiscovery addons detected: https://photos.app.goo.gl/VC4mz72t2iJta4Rv9 If I continue to click OK, I can then see the duplicate FSDT sceneries in both Scenery and Package tabs. Scenery tab v1.50: https://photos.app.goo.gl/m4kjMS67isEoo7DZ9 Packages tab v1.50: https://photos.app.goo.gl/DaRPaxw99epHq6Ux5 If I look at the Documents\Prepar3d V4 Add-ons\ folder, I have various FSDT subfolders present and each one contains its own Add-on.xml file for each scenery. All are present. Second, if I look to where the Add-on.xml is pointing for the scenery files, they all are located in separate folders under D:\Program Files\Add on Manager\Dreamteam\<scenery folder name>.All these FSDT sceneries lie outside my main P3Dv4 sim folder. For reference here is the screenshot for v1.31 where I do not see those duplicated FSDT sceneries. https://photos.app.goo.gl/KtPNGUurPyL2sREVA Hope that sheds some light. April 14, 20206 yr Commercial Member Hi, the issue at work here is this: in P3D V4.4 the addon autodiscovery was broken, all autodiscovered addons ended up being in the wrong add-ons.cfg file. So I added special logic in version 1.39 that discovers this problem and tries to resolve it. Somehow that is going wrong for you, and I think that I have an idea why. Still, the issue that is bugging me is, that to my best knowledge FSDT doesn't do autodiscovery. IMO there shouldn't be folders from FSDT in "\Documents\Prepar3D V4 Add-ons". But I'm not 100% sure. Would you mind sending me a backup of your config files, created with P4AO? On the Backup/Restore tab you can create a ZIP that contains all I need. The email address is at the end of the users manual. Many thanks and best regards Edited April 14, 20206 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
