April 17, 20206 yr I use the P3D Addon Organizer all the time. I'm not saying anything that we all don't already know....this program is GREAT! Anyway, I now have P3DV4 and P3DV5 on my computer. I have (1) one Orbx library setup that I use in both P3DV4 & P3DV5. I simply rename folder to either p3dv4 or p3dv5 depending on which version I want to run. That way, I don't have to double my hard drive memory by having a separate p3dv4 & p3dv5 folders, both with the same exact files...works great. The problem comes with opening P3DAddonorganizer. If the Addon Organizer was previously set to P3DV4 and I just changed the Orbx folder name to p3dv5, I get an error list with many Orbx names...so many, that I cannot see any of the buttons down at the bottom of the list. So, I have to go into the Task Manager to close the Addon Organizer... Can you add a feature to chose the P3DV version before I open the addon organizer? That way, if I change the Orbx folder name to p3dv5, then change the Addon Organizer to use P3DV5 before it checks the folder location, I don't get the long list of error folder... April 17, 20206 yr Commercial Member Hi, if the actual scenery locations are the same, why don't you just add a Discovery Path to V5 that points at your V4 library? That way you don't have to rename anything. Best regards LORBY-SI
April 18, 20206 yr Author I could be wrong, but I dont believe the Orbx pv5 insertion tool will recognize the p3dv4 folder path. PC: AMD 9850X3D, RAM 64GB, Geforce GTX 5090 (32GB), MSFS 2020, MSFS 2024, Pimax Super 50PPD, Quest 3
