Maybe look under [Effects] in your aircraft.cfg.  like so:

[EFFECTS]
wake=fx_wake
water=fx_spray
dirt=fx_tchdrt
concrete=Opensky_sparks, 1
touchdown=voo_tchdwn, 1<-----------------------------this one!  I'm using voodoo touchdown effect. you can also put // in front of it.

For the NG this is my effects:

 

[EFFECTS]
wake=fx_wake
water=fx_spray
dirt=fx_tchdrt
concrete=fx_sparks
//(Disabled by FSFX_PFX_Effect)touchdown=fx_tchdwn, 1

 

Its already got a // by it, and I still get the effect.

 FSFX_PFX_Effect is maybe a program that you have that install their own effect (rather longish for a touch down effect)

Just select the " //(Disabled by FSFX_PFX_Effect) " and place it behind "touchdown=fx_tchdwn, 1" and see what that effect looks like. It's the original. Try it like this;

touchdown=fx_tchdwn, 1  //(Disabled by FSFX_PFX_Effect) , that way you can always see how it was and if you don't like that either do this;

//touchdown=fx_tchdwn, 1  //(Disabled by FSFX_PFX_Effect)
