Airport tiles look yuk !

Featured Replies

From a number of screenshots of FSX that I have seen on the various forums, the area around the airport looks really awfull. The texture tiles used for the default airport backgrounds just do not blend with the other scenery at all, either in colour or tone, leaving it looking like a blank square on an otherwise exquisite semi-photo textures. Also it would appear once again, that landclass for anywhere outside of the US has been ignored to a great extent. Lets hope that some talented individuals will release updated background airport textures and improved landclass for various parts of the world using the latest SDK.By the way, has anyone tried deploying landclass files that had been produced for FS2004 - do they make any difference? Perhaps if someone has they might like to post some comparison shots (with and without the landclass installed). Just a thought.Regards,StuartP.S. Unfortunately I have not yet got my hands on a copy of FSX.

these problems are nothing new in the series...no better or worse IMO, just different mostly...but the same outcome...airports stick out like a sore thumb instead of blending in and aircraft strobes dont stand out enough in the air for spotting...its always been backwards this way unfortunately. Doesnt seem that 3rd party's been able to fix it either.Dave
